Hello! I’m Meer Husain, a labourer currently residing along the East Bank Essequibo E Public Road in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of our country, I’ve always appreciated the rich cultural heritage that defines us as Guyanese. From the vibrant celebrations of Mashramani to the mouthwatering aromas of pepperpot and cook-up rice wafting through our homes, our traditions are a source of pride and joy.
My journey has been deeply influenced by our local communities, where the warmth of family ties and friendships echo the essence of Guyana. Whether it’s gathering with friends at the banks of the Essequibo River or sharing stories about our homeland’s beauty and resilience, I feel a strong connection to my roots. I often reminisce about the canefields and how they represent the hard work and dedication of our people.
