Greetings! My name is Melanie Sylvain, and I am a dedicated nurse residing on the beautiful Essequibo Coast in Suddie New Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I have been fortunate to witness the vibrant diversity of our people and cultures. From the sweet sound of tassa drums during Diwali celebrations to the rich flavors of our famous pepperpot and cook-up rice, every aspect of my heritage fills me with pride.
