Hello! I’m Michael Cox, a proud Guyanese labourer residing in the beautiful region of Coast 578, Supenaam, Essequibo. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the Essequibo River flows and the lush landscapes are as rich as our culture. Growing up, I’ve always been surrounded by the warmth of my community and the delicious aroma of local dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, which remind me of home and bring us all together, especially during family gatherings and celebrations.
As someone deeply connected to my heritage, I cherish sharing our unique experiences with others. Whether it's taking a stroll through the bustling markets of Georgetown or enjoying the serene beauty of our hidden gems, like the stunning waterfalls and wildlife in our interior, I believe that the best way to appreciate Guyana is through the eyes of its people. It’s this spirit of togetherness that fuels my passion for advocating for positive change in our beloved country, as I know that only we can uplift it for future generations.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora has also enriched my perspective, as I see how our culture resonates with others around the globe.
