Hello! My name is Michelle Jeffers-Khan, and I proudly call Bank Demerara in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up nestled between the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River and the vibrant communities of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, especially our culinary delights. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing a plate of pepperpot or dhal puri with friends and family, reminiscing about our roots, and celebrating the unique flavors that define us as Guyanese.
Connected to both local and global communities, I understand the importance of maintaining our ties with the Guyanese diaspora.
