Hello! I’m Michelle Adonis, a dedicated teacher based in the vibrant community of Bank Demerara, located in the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region of Guyana. My passion for education is deeply intertwined with my love for our rich cultural heritage. Whether it’s sharing the sweetness of guinep with my students or recounting tales of our local landmarks like the Pomeroon River and the stunning Mainstay Lake, I strive to instill a sense of pride and connection to our roots in the next generation.
Having been influenced by the diverse cultures that make up our nation, I enjoy incorporating elements of our culinary traditions into my teaching.
