Hello! I’m Mikesha Candia, a proud resident of Coast 313 Brummell Street in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled along the banks of the Pomeroon River, my home is a vibrant hub where the echoes of daily life blend with the lush sounds of nature. Growing up here has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our unique culture, from the tantalizing flavors of our Chinese cuisine—some say it’s the best in the Caribbean—to the rich traditions celebrated in our communities.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I have made both locally and globally. Whether it’s sharing stories with friends who have ventured to different parts of the world or celebrating festivals that honor our heritage, I hold close the values of community and resilience that define us.
