Hello! I’m Milford Moore, a proud mason hailing from the beautiful region of Regina Essequibo Coast, specifically Lima Dam, Lima Anna in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant culture of Guyana, I’ve always felt deeply connected to my roots. The warmth of my community is evident in the way we address each other, with elders often lovingly referred to as “auntie” or “uncle,” reflecting our close-knit bonds and respect for tradition.
As a mason, I take pride in building structures that not only serve functional purposes but also contribute to the rich architectural heritage of our land. Whether it’s constructing homes that endure the test of time or participating in local projects that uplift our community, I strive to incorporate the essence of Guyanese culture in my work. I often find inspiration in the lush landscapes around me, from the mighty Kaieteur Falls to the serene Pomeroon River, which remind me of the natural beauty that defines our homeland.
Outside of my work, I enjoy sharing the flavors of Guyana with friends and family, especially dishes that reflect our diverse culinary heritage. Be it a hearty plate of pepperpot or the sweet notes of cassava pone, food is at the heart of our gatherings.
