Hello! I’m Miriam Garraway, a proud resident of Canal Lower Pomeroon in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Living in this lush and culturally rich part of the country, I am surrounded by the stunning beauty of our rivers and forests, which are integral to our way of life. My heart is deeply connected to Guyana's diverse heritage, which brings together various ethnicities, languages, and traditions. It's no surprise that our annual Christmas dish, pepper pot, holds a special place in my heart—there’s nothing quite like sharing it with family and friends during the festive season!
As we stand on the brink of significant change due to the recent oil discoveries, I find excitement and optimism in the future while cherishing the simplicity and richness of our daily lives.
