Greetings! I’m Mitchell Fredericks, a proud Guyanese labourer hailing from the serene River Yacouri Settlement in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and flowing rivers, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our beautiful land and its rich cultural heritage. From the vibrant festivals celebrating our diverse communities to the warm hospitality that defines us, I carry the spirit of Guyana in everything I do.
There’s nothing quite like sitting down to a plate of curry and roti, where I always say, “Ya suppose to eat the roti with some stew; not dry by itself!” It’s these culinary traditions, passed down through generations, that make our gatherings special.
