Hello! I’m Mohamed Badshaw, a proud resident of Butcher in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the lush landscapes meet the rich tapestry of our diverse cultures. Growing up surrounded by the gentle flow of the Pomeroon River, I have developed a profound appreciation for our local traditions, from the lively sounds of the tassa drums to the aromatic delights of our cuisine, including the ever-popular cook-up rice and fresh catch from the river.
As a butcher, I take pride in providing my community with high-quality meats that reflect our culinary heritage. The spirit of togetherness is what makes our community special, much like the gatherings we have around the kairi (green mango) and the joyous celebrations that light up our streets.
