Growing up in the heart of Guyana, I have fond memories of sharing meals with family, diving into a plate of pepperpot, or enjoying some fresh fish and bake by the river. We may not have always had much, but the love and unity among our communities were palpable, especially in the 90s when we stood together, regardless of our differences. I carry this spirit with me as I drive, always ready to lend an ear or share a laugh, just like the camaraderie we cherish across the diaspora.
