About MOHAMED ARHMAN SAFDAR

About Mohamed Safdar

Hello there! I’m Mohamed Safdar, a proud cane harvester hailing from the vibrant West Coast Demerara. Living on 74 Third Street Railway, I am deeply connected to the lush landscapes and cultural richness of Guyana. When I’m not in the fields, you can find me savoring a bowl of pepperpot or sharing stories with friends about the breathtaking Pomeroon River and the stunning views from Torurab Hill. These local treasures remind me of the beauty of our diverse heritage.

As the oil industry begins to transform our economy, I often reflect on how this could be a blessing for us all. I’ve seen what it means for communities when good fortune strikes, and I hope we can harness this change for the betterment of our people. Like many Guyanese, I hold a deep respect for our traditions and the spirit of resilience that defines us. Whether it’s joining in a lively mashramani celebration or simply exchanging smiles with neighbors, I believe that our connections strengthen our community.

Through my work and experiences, I cherish the stories shared by those from the diaspora, who remind us of the love and pride we carry for our homeland. So, whether you’re from Trinidad or another corner of the world, I welcome you to engage with our rich culture—because no matter where we are, the warmth of Guyana always shines through. Big respect and best wishes to all!
