Hello! My name is Mohamed Khan, and I am proud to call the lush region of Coast 76 in the Pomeroon-Supenaam area my home. As a farmer, I dedicate my days to cultivating the rich lands of Guyana, where the fertile soil is as vibrant as our culture. Growing up amidst the beauty of our rivers and forests, I have developed a deep appreciation for the agricultural traditions that sustain our communities and feed our families. Whether it’s planting rice or harvesting fruits, I find joy in working with the earth that has nurtured generations before me.
Guyana is not just my home; it’s a part of who I am. From the spicy aroma of pepperpot simmering in the kitchen to the sweet taste of a ripe guava, the flavors of our culinary heritage remind me of family gatherings and celebrations. I cherish our unique customs, like the lively Mashramani carnival, where laughter and music fill the streets. Even though many of us may now live far from home, the connection we share as Guyanese unites us, and I find comfort in the stories and memories we carry with us, no matter where we are in the world.
In my free time, I enjoy sharing my experiences with others, whether it's teaching the pronunciation of our local dialect or discussing the breathtaking beauty of landmarks like the Essequibo River and the majestic Kaieteur Falls. As we strive, unite, and aim high, I believe that the future for Guyana is indeed bright! Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
