Hello! I'm Mohamed Baksh, a proud resident of Coast 126 Public Road Lima in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the tantalizing flavours of pepperpot and cook-up rice to the joyous sounds of our local music echoing through the streets. I take pride in how our traditions weave through everyday life, making our gatherings, whether at the riverside or during festive celebrations, truly memorable.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I often reflect on the challenges and opportunities that our nation faces. While it's easy to voice frustration over issues like governance and infrastructure, I believe in the resilience of our people. Like many, I’ve seen the striking contrasts in our society, where the gap between the rich and poor can be painfully wide. Yet, I remain hopeful for a brighter future for Guyana, one where all citizens can thrive. I consistently stay connected to my roots and engage with fellow Guyanese abroad to share our experiences and uplift each other.
