Hello! I’m Mohamed Nabbie, a proud farmer rooted in the lush landscapes of Western Hogg Island, located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. My love for the land reflects the vibrant culture of our community, where the sweet sounds of the Pomeroon River accompany the hardworking spirit of farmers like me. You can find me tending to my crops, often sharing tales with neighbors about the days spent fishing in the Calistro Bay or enjoying the spicy goodness of Roti with curry – and yes, it’s “Roti,” not “Roti David” as some might say!
Growing up surrounded by the rich diversity of Indian, African, and Indigenous influences, I cherish the flavors and traditions that make our culture unique. Whether it's gathering with friends to celebrate Phagwah or sharing a meal featuring fresh catch from the river, each experience strengthens our bond.
