Hello! I’m Mohamed Nazmoon, a proud labourer from the beautiful village of 05 Sans Souci in Wakenaam, located in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this land, where the lush greenery and the winding rivers tell stories of our ancestors. Growing up, I found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—savoring our local delicacies like pepperpot and metemgee, and gathering with family and friends to share laughter and memories under the stars.
Living in Wakenaam, I’m surrounded by the vibrant culture that makes Guyana so special. From the rhythmic sounds of our folk songs to the annual festivals that celebrate our diverse heritage, each moment is a reminder of who we are. I cherish the connection with my fellow Guyanese, whether near or far, as we support each other through our journeys, no matter where life may lead us. It's uplifting to see how our community stays close-knit, sharing updates about life back home, like the recent news of direct flights from Toronto to Guyana that excited many of us in the diaspora.
As I continue my work, I carry the spirit of my homeland with me, always inspired by the stunning landscapes—from the mighty Pomeroon River to the lush fields of the Lower Pom.
