Hello! I’m Mohamed Omar, a dedicated farmer based in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the Essequibo River flows and the aroma of fresh, local spices fills the air. Growing up, I enjoyed the rich flavors of our Guyanese cuisine, from the comforting curry dishes that reflect our Indian heritage to the hearty pepperpot that graces our Christmas tables—a true testament to our diverse cultures.
As someone who cherishes our unique identity, I often find myself engaging in discussions about what it means to be Guyanese. While some may see us as part of the Caribbean, I proudly embrace our South American coast heritage.
