Hello! I’m Mohamed Khan, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up here, I’ve been surrounded by the rich flavors of our local cuisine, from the savory curry duck to the delicious pepperpot that warms both the heart and soul. The lush landscapes and the mighty Pomeroon River have shaped my appreciation for nature and the strong sense of community that defines our way of life.
I carry the spirit of Guyana with me, whether I’m sharing a plate of cook-up rice with family or reminiscing about the lively festivals that bring us together, like Mashramani and Phagwah. Although I currently reside in Lima, I often connect with fellow Guyanese both at home and in the diaspora. It's heartwarming to hear my friends say, "You getting fat in Guyana, mi son!"—it’s a testament to our love for food and the warmth of our people.
