Hello! I’m Mohan Beharry, a proud Guyanese speedboat operator based in the tranquil heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of our beautiful country, I developed a deep love for the rivers that crisscross through our communities. Whether it's transporting goods or taking tourists on a scenic ride, every journey is a chance to share the stories and warmth of our vibrant culture.
As a member of a multiracial society, I cherish the rich culinary traditions that Guyana offers. From the savory aroma of pepperpot to the sweet delight of black cake, our food is a reflection of our diverse heritage. Living in Queens, I often connect with fellow Guyanese and reminisce about our homeland—often referred to as “Little Guyana” in Richmond Hill. It's heartening to see how our community thrives abroad while keeping our customs alive.
When I’m not navigating the waterways, you can find me enjoying the lively atmosphere of local festivals or catching up on the latest news from home. I believe in the resilience of our people, despite the challenges we face, including those in our political landscape. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
