Living at 71 Second Street Zorg in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am deeply connected to the lush landscapes and vibrant culture that define our community. Growing up in Guyana, I have been fortunate to enjoy our rich culinary traditions, from the comforting taste of cook-up rice to the delightful sweetness of black cake during festive celebrations. I often reminisce about family gatherings, where the aroma of pepperpot fills the air and laughter echoes down the riverbanks. The Pomeroon River, a source of pride for my community, is not just a landmark—it's a lifeline that connects us to our history and heritage.
Though I may now be part of the diaspora, I carry my Guyanese roots wherever I go. I cherish the connections I have made and the stories shared among fellow Guyanese, whether we’re reminiscing about the vibrancy of Karawab or the bustling atmosphere of Georgetown.
