Greetings! My name is Mohindar Persaud, a proud resident of Columbia in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of my homeland has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich heritage and the warmth of our community. Whether it’s the laughter of children playing by the river or the aroma of cook-up rice wafting from kitchens on a Sunday afternoon, these moments are the essence of what it means to be Guyanese.
As someone who cherishes the flavors of our local cuisine, I often find myself reminiscing about the mouthwatering dishes that define our culture—after all, nobody could stop Guyana food! From spicy pepperpot to the sweet indulgence of guava cheese, our culinary traditions are a source of pride.
