Greetings! Iām Morvin Khairoon, a proud farmer from the Lower Pomeroon River Grant Play Fair in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My life revolves around the rich soil of our land, where I cultivate a variety of crops that reflect our vibrant culture. From savoring sweet cassava to growing the beloved black-eye peas, my work not only nourishes my community but also keeps alive the traditions that have been passed down through generations.
Guyana is a nation in transition, and I am excited to witness its growth from one of the poorest countries in the Americas to one that is thriving with opportunities. My heart holds a special place for the diaspora, especially my family members who have found new homes in Canada. I fondly remember the times when many of us could travel freely and connect with relatives overseas, sharing meals like pepperpot and cook-up rice, which remind us of our roots. Keeping these connections strong is essential, as it enriches our lives and fosters a sense of belonging no matter where we are.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
