Hello! I'm Moses Husnabano, a proud labourer from Wakenaam, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up along the tranquil banks of the Pomeroon River, I’ve always been surrounded by the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes that make our country unique. Whether it’s the warmth of our people or the lush greenery that paints our surroundings, there’s no place like home. As I navigate life far from my roots, I often feel the longing: it's a long way from home, but my heart remains tethered to Guyana.
Food is an essential part of my life and culture. I love sharing our local delicacies with friends and family, especially the beloved dhalpourie with curry—a dish that brings everyone together. There's nothing quite like enjoying a meal that not only fills the stomach but also nourishes the soul. As I reminisce about the joyful gatherings around the dinner table, I feel the spirit of my homeland, reminding me of the simple pleasures in life.
Though I currently reside elsewhere, my ties to Guyana remain strong. I cherish the memories of our rich traditions and the stories of the Upper Pomeroon region. Even as I explore new opportunities, I carry the essence of my culture with me, ever eager to share the beauty and authenticity of my homeland with others.
