Hello! I’m Muneshwar Thomas, a proud labourer from the lush Essequibo Tapakuma Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant landscapes of the Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep appreciation for our local culture. Whether it’s enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot, a traditional dish that brings back memories of family gatherings, or exploring the serene beauty of Karawab Creek, my heart belongs to this land.
As I work hard each day, I remember the stories of our ancestors and the rich history that shapes our community. Like many in the diaspora, I cherish the connections we have with each other, sharing laughter and experiences that remind us of home. I often hear my friends joking about “lower Pom” and how it feels like a world of its own, filled with the warmth of our people and the spice of our food. We always find a reason to celebrate, whether it’s a small gathering or a big festival.
