Living in Coast 111 Sea Dam Lima Anna, Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am deeply connected to the lush landscapes that this beautiful region offers. From the rolling hills to the serene rivers, Guyana is a place where nature and culture intertwine, giving us a unique identity. I often reflect on our rich heritage, where the influences of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European cultures converge to create a society that celebrates diversity. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of spicy curry or fresh fish by the Essequibo River, each meal is a reminder of our culinary traditions that bring families and friends together.

As a labourer, I contribute to the hardworking spirit of our community, where every person plays a vital role in supporting our local economy. I believe that every job, big or small, helps build our nation and strengthens our bonds. I often hear conversations about our place in the Caribbean, and I feel a strong sense of belonging, especially with CARICOM’s headquarters right in our capital, Georgetown.
