Hello! I’m Muneshwar Singh, a proud fisherman from the serene waters of Coast Public Road, Devonshire, in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up alongside the mighty Essequibo River, I’ve developed a deep passion for the art of fishing, using traditional techniques passed down through generations. My days are spent navigating the rich waters, enjoying the tranquility and bounty of the land, and sharing stories with fellow fishermen about the best catches and the ever-changing tides.
In my community, food is a celebration of our rich heritage. From the tantalizing aromas of pepperpot simmering on the stove to the sweet taste of fresh plantains, each meal tells a story of our diverse culture. I love sharing dishes with family and friends, especially during special occasions when we gather for lively festivities filled with laughter, dance, and traditional music that echoes through the night.
