Hello! I’m Myrlene Joseph, a proud housewife living in the vibrant Coast 37 Check Dam in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. My heart is deeply rooted in this land, where the rich cultural heritage and warmth of our people come together. Even though many of us have ventured to the USA and beyond, I cherish the ties that bind us to our ancestors in India, as well as to friends and family scattered across the globe. It's a reminder that no matter where we are, home is always a place in our hearts. 🙏🏽
My days are filled with the wonderful flavors of Guyanese cuisine. From cooking up a storm with dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice to sharing a plate of spicy curry with family and friends, food is one of the many ways I celebrate our culture. Living here, I constantly find joy in the simple pleasures of life, showing that even though our country may face challenges, we remain resilient and happy with the little that we have. ❤️
