Greetings! My name is Nabeelah Baksh, and I proudly call the beautiful Coast 18 Columbia Essequibo home. As a dedicated nurse, I’ve committed my life to caring for others, embodying the warmth and resilience that our Guyanese culture is known for. Growing up in a region steeped in rich traditions, from the mouthwatering taste of pepperpot during the holidays to the vibrant sounds of our local folk music, I have always felt a deep connection to my roots.
Living in Essequibo, I’m constantly inspired by the stunning landscapes that surround us, from the lush Pomeroon River to the historical sites that tell the story of our nation. I cherish the moments spent with my community, whether it’s gathering at the local market for fresh produce or sharing laughter with friends over a plate of cook-up rice. The challenges we face, including issues like crime and poverty, only strengthen my resolve to make a positive impact in our society and uplift those around me.
