Hello! I'm Nadia Roberts, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo 2 Old Road Tushen, nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up here has been a rich experience filled with the vibrant sounds of nature and the warmth of our close-knit community. From the lush landscapes to the flowing rivers, such as the Essequibo, every corner of my home reflects our unique culture and history.
As a child, I fondly remember the bustling markets filled with fresh guinep and plenty of local delicacies. There’s nothing quite like savoring a plate of pepperpot or roti with curry, especially during family gatherings. Our cultural heritage runs deep, and I cherish the stories passed down from my grandmother, who would often share tales of living in the heart of Georgetown and the joys of our people.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I deeply value the connections we share with those abroad, whether it's through reminiscing about Regent and Durban Streets or simply enjoying our beloved music that brings us all together.
