Living in Guyana, I value the warmth of our community, where everyone is family. Here, we refer to elders as “aunty” and “uncle,” showcasing our close-knit ties and respect for one another. Though I now connect with the diaspora and reminisce about our local treasures, my heart remains in Guyana.
