Greetings! I’m Nafeeza Hendricks, a proud resident of Mission in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture, which is reflected in our delicious cuisine—from savory pepperpot to sweet black cake. The warmth of our people and the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River have shaped my identity and continue to inspire my day-to-day life.
As someone who has experienced both the challenges and improvements of living in Guyana, I resonate with the sentiments of my fellow Guyanese. While we acknowledge the hurdles we face, such as safety concerns, it’s important to recognize the strides we have made over the years. Our country is evolving, and I believe in giving our beloved Guyana the time it deserves to flourish further.
