Nestled along the banks of the mighty Essequibo River, my home is a stone's throw from the stunning landscapes that define our culture. From the lush greenery of the Pomeroon River to the vibrant communities where stories and traditions intertwine, I find inspiration in the natural beauty and rich heritage that surrounds me.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the deep connections we share, whether it’s reminiscing about the sweet delights of black cake during the holidays or learning how to pronounce "Essequibo" just right! I enjoy engaging with the stories of our people, like those shared by my friends from River Bombay and St. Monica, who remind me of the simple joys of life in our homeland.
