Hello! I’m Nalica Forde, a proud resident of C Middlewalk Henrietta in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, which is reflected in our vibrant festivals, local cuisines, and the warmth of our communities. From the delightful taste of pepperpot during Christmas to the rhythmic beats of the tassa drums, every aspect of our culture brings people together and fosters a sense of belonging.
Living in this region, I find inspiration in our natural environment, whether it’s the serene beauty of the river or the camaraderie of local gatherings. I often spend my weekends exploring the Upper Pomeroon River, sharing stories with neighbors, and savoring fresh catch from the river. The connection to nature and our community is integral to who I am, and I cherish the memories created in these sacred spaces.
