Hello! I’m Nalini Kalicharan, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich biodiversity of our homeland has shaped my love for the natural beauty that Guyana has to offer. From the striking beauty of Kaieteur Falls, affectionately pronounced as "kai-chore" by many locals, to the lively streets of Georgetown, my heart thrives in the rhythm of our diverse culture.
Food is a significant part of my life and a wonderful connector to our heritage. Whether it’s the comforting aroma of a freshly cooked pepperpot or the delightful taste of a hot bowl of cook-up rice, every meal tells a story of our past and a promise of community. I also value the ties that bind us, not only within our own country but across the diaspora.
