Hello! I’m Nalini Kisssoon, a proud charwoman hailing from Bank Essequibo, located on the beautiful East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this vibrant region, where the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage shape daily life. Growing up surrounded by the warmth of my community, I find joy in our shared traditions, whether it's gathering for a delicious plate of pepperpot or walking along the shores of the Essequibo River, which tells stories of our ancestors and the land we cherish.
In addition to my work, I love connecting with others in the Guyanese diaspora. Whether it's sharing memories of the scrumptious Chinese food we boast about—arguably the best in the Caribbean—or reminiscing about those crisp Saturday mornings spent at the local market picking up fresh cassava and plantains, our connections remind me of the vibrant culture we continue to celebrate.
