Hello! My name is Amen, a proud resident of the vibrant Essequibo region, specifically from Present Hope East in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this beautiful part of Guyana, I’ve come to appreciate the rich cultural heritage and the warm-hearted nature of our people. From the lush landscapes to the mighty Essequibo River, my surroundings have profoundly shaped my identity. Whether it’s indulging in a plate of pepperpot or fresh cassava bread, the flavors of Guyana always remind me of home.

Like many, I have family ties to the villages where my ancestors lived, some even tracing back to Berbice.
