Hello! My name is Balram, and I’m a proud farmer located on the left bank of the Essequibo River in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this lush and vibrant area, I've cultivated not just crops but a deep appreciation for our local culture, from the delicious flavors of our beloved cook-up rice to the sweet treat of pomerac. The simple joys of life here, whether it’s fishing at the river or sharing stories with neighbors, are what truly define my everyday experience.
As an active member of my community, I often reflect on the rich heritage we share, especially when engaging with our diaspora.
