Hello, my name is Cambridge, and I proudly call Essequibo my home, specifically the vibrant community of Naamryck on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a labourer, I value hard work and the resilience that comes with it. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture of Guyana, I have always been inspired by the natural beauty of our rivers and forests, particularly near the Cocorite Landing, where I spent many afternoons fishing and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Food is a significant part of our culture, and I can’t help but feel hungry just thinking about a hearty plate of pepperpot or some freshly cooked curry! There’s nothing quite like gathering with family and friends to share a meal, reminisce about the past, and laugh together.
