Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I draw inspiration from the rich cultural heritage that defines our community. From the mouth-watering flavors of pepperpot, a cherished dish that brings us together during special occasions, to the colorful markets bustling with life, my upbringing has instilled in me a profound appreciation for our local traditions.
As a member of the diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected to our roots, whether it's through sharing stories of our beloved Essequibo or reminiscing about the beautiful River Karawab Mission. My parents hail from diverse parts of this beautiful land, with my father from Essequibo and my mother from Matthews Ridge. These ties fuel my passion for celebrating our Guyanese identity and fostering connections within our community, both at home and abroad.
