Hello! I’m Ram, a proud Guyanese currently residing on the vibrant School Street in Bank Essequibo, Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a dedicated labourer, I’ve always valued hard work and community spirit, traits that are deeply ingrained in our culture. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River and the rich tapestry of our diverse heritage, where every meal feels like a celebration—especially when roti is involved (although I’ve often laughed at how it’s humorously mispronounced as “rodie”!).
My heart holds a special place for our capital, Georgetown, where the hustle and bustle of city life meets the beauty of our historical landmarks. It's a shame that sometimes the narrative focuses solely on the challenges we face, overlooking the immense progress and resilience of our people. Just like many in the diaspora, I believe it's important to share our story—the warmth of our communities, the richness of our culture, and the incredible strides we continue to make.
