Hello! I’m (NAME ON FILE) TULARAM, a proud farmer based in the beautiful Essequibo Naamryck along the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this vibrant region, where every sunrise brings a new day of cultivating the land and nurturing my crops. Growing up here, I’ve learned to appreciate the rich flavors of our local cuisine—from the sweet pineapples that are a delight at just $2 USD, to the unique dishes that reflect our diverse heritage. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a plate of pepperpot or cassava bread with family and friends.
The Pomeroon River, with its winding paths and lush banks, is part of my daily life. It’s a constant reminder of the beauty that surrounds us and the importance of our environment. While some folks debate whether Guyana belongs to the Caribbean or South America, I believe our culture is a fusion of both worlds—infused with the warmth of our community and the richness of our traditions. I often find myself reminiscing about the vibrant gatherings at Baracaro Island, where laughter and stories weave together like the currents of our rivers.
