Welcome to my little corner of the world! My name is Nandanee Doorpattee, and I'm proud to call Anna Regina, located in the scenic Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. As a dedicated housewife, I cherish the warmth of family gatherings, and there’s nothing I love more than sharing the rich flavors of Guyanese cuisine with my loved ones. From the spicy kick of pepperpot to the sweet delight of black cake, our food is a celebration of our heritage and a reflection of our vibrant culture.
Living in Guyana, I find joy in the natural beauty that surrounds us, including the serene River Urasara Creek, where I often take my children to explore and connect with our roots. My passion for our cultural traditions drives me to keep our heritage alive, especially in this globalized world where many of us are part of the diaspora. I often reminisce about the strong sense of community we have here, as we rally behind the motto "one people, one nation, one destiny." Whether in Guyana or abroad, the connections we share remind us of our strength and resilience.
As I embrace my role as a housewife, I also look forward to discovering new ways to share the essence of Guyana with others. From teaching my children about our customs to hosting lively gatherings filled with laughter and delicious food, I strive to foster a sense of belonging and pride in our identity. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
