Hello everyone! My name is Nandanee Haricharan, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled along the scenic banks of the Pomeroon River, this vibrant area is known for its lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Growing up here, I've developed a deep appreciation for the warmth of our communities, the deliciousness of our local cuisine, especially the mouth-watering pepperpot and fresh coconut curry. I truly believe that our food is a reflection of our diverse heritage, bringing together flavors from our Amerindian, African, Indian, and European ancestors.
Living in Guyana, I have witnessed first-hand the beautiful contrasts of our nation, from exploring the lively Stabroek Market to trekking through the magnificent Kaieteur Falls. While we face challenges, like ensuring our streets and markets are kept clean and modern, the spirit of the Guyanese people shines through.
