Hello! My name is Narbert Fredricks, and I proudly hail from the vibrant heart of Lower Pomeroon River, specifically the Hoodoo Mainland in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a logger, I’ve spent years working amidst the lush greenery that defines our landscape, always respecting the deep connection we share with nature. Growing up here, I’ve been fortunate to enjoy the rich biodiversity and the cultural heritage that Guyana offers. The aroma of fresh cook-up rice and the sound of a steel pan in the background always remind me of home, bringing smiles and a sense of community.
In my spare time, I love to engage with my fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora. It’s heartwarming to see how our stories connect us, whether it’s sharing a laugh about the way names get mispronounced or reminiscing about our favorite spots like St. Monica's and the Upper Pomeroon River.
