Hello! I'm Narendra Persaud, a passionate barber based in the beautiful Demerara region, specifically no. 2 Canal in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been surrounded by our rich culture and traditions, which I carry with me in both my personal and professional life. From the vibrant colors of the markets to the warm smiles of my neighbors, every day is a reminder of why I love this land. Whether it's a casual chat while trimming hair or sharing stories about our favorite local dishes like pepperpot (which I assure you, does not include rats!), I strive to create an inviting atmosphere for everyone who steps into my shop.
As someone with deep roots in Guyana, I also have a strong connection to the Guyanese diaspora. I love hearing stories from those who have moved abroad, finding comfort in our shared experiences and traditions. It's always heartwarming to see someone reminisce about the beauty of Kaieteur Falls or the serenity of the Rupununi River – just don’t ask me to pronounce them incorrectly! I take pride in being a part of this global community, and I enjoy connecting with those who have a piece of their heart still back home.
In my barbering journey, I aim not only to provide a great haircut but also to foster a sense of belonging.
