Welcome! My name is Narisa Dexter, and I proudly call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Nestled along the serene Essequibo Coast, I enjoy the vibrant culture and rich traditions that my community has to offer. As a resident of this diverse nation, I cherish the flavors of Guyanese cuisine—from the sweet juiciness of guinep, which I fondly share with friends, to the hearty meals that bring families together, like roasted cow feet. I find joy in celebrating our unique culinary heritage, often reminiscing about the dishes that connect us to our roots, whether in Guyana or among the diaspora in places like the United States and the Caribbean.

With the recent surge in GDP driven by oil discoveries, I stand hopeful for the future of Guyana and the opportunities it will bring for our communities. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
