Greetings! I'm Narlmila Loakram, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast in the vibrant community of Check Dam, Sparta, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My heart beats for the rich culture and diverse heritage that defines our beautiful Guyana. Living in Guyana means being part of a community that stands resilient against challenges, such as the issues surrounding oil wealth and the need for transparency. I often find myself reflecting on the importance of unity and heritage, especially as part of a diaspora that cherishes its roots, even when far from home. Our country may be small, but our spirit is mighty, evidenced by the stunning beauty of landmarks like Kaieteur Falls and the warmth of our people, who continue to share stories and support one another, no matter where life takes us.
