Greetings! My name is Naseeb Kamradeen, and I hail from the vibrant heart of Guyana, specifically the picturesque region of Regina Essequibo Coast, just 52 West of Public Road. Surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River, my upbringing has been steeped in the rich cultural heritage that defines our nation. From the tantalizing flavors of cook-up rice to the sweet delight of pomeroon, food plays a central role in our community and has shaped my identity in more ways than one.
I take great pride in being part of a diverse society that beautifully reflects our Indian, African, and indigenous roots, intertwined with the rhythms of Caribbean life. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local customs and traditions, whether it’s celebrating Phagwah with vibrant colors or joining in the communal festivities during Mashramani. Although some may argue about our Caribbean ties, I firmly believe our history and culture weave a unique narrative that connects us to our Caribbean neighbors and beyond.
