Hello! I’m Natasha France, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled on the South American coast, my home is a vibrant crossroads of cultures, where the rhythms of our indigenous heritage blend with influences from Africa, India, and Europe. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery of our rainforests and the rich waters of the Essequibo River, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the stunning landscapes and the unique flavors of our traditional Guyanese cuisine, from pepperpot to roti and curry. We may not all see ourselves as Caribbean, but we definitely stand tall with our own identity.
Living in Guyana, I’ve come to cherish the sense of community we share, especially among the diaspora. Whether it’s discussing the latest cricket match or sharing stories over a plate of cook-up rice, there’s an unbreakable bond that connects us, even across borders. I often reflect on the shared experiences that make us distinct. We certainly have our quirks, like our love for a good joke about mosquitoes or our debates over which national dish reigns supreme—Guyana or Trinidad's! Despite the challenges, there’s an undeniable vibrancy to life here that keeps me optimistic about our future.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
