Hello and welcome! My name is Natasha Persaud, and I proudly call Bank Demerara in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a housewife, I find joy in nurturing my family and keeping the vibrant traditions of our culture alive. From the aromas of freshly cooked pepperpot on special occasions to the lively sounds of 'chutney' music during festivities, every day is a celebration of our unique heritage.
Growing up in Guyana, I've been fortunate to witness our country’s rich beauty, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the lush landscapes of our rainforests. I cherish the moments spent at local markets, where the colors and flavors of our fruits and spices come alive. I also hold a special place in my heart for the Guyanese diaspora, who carry our culture and stories across the globe, reminding us that no matter where we go, we are all connected through our shared experiences.
